The Oldbury Community Partnership Programme is an inclusive community-based initiative that puts the people at the heart of its activities. Through positive activities, Oldbury United transforms the lives of people. We work with children, young people and adults who fall into, or have the markers where they could be seen as ‘socially excluded’.
Oldbury United FC engages disadvantaged sections of society, people with a need to get active, be mentored, coached or to be supported in education and employment training. Being an inclusive service provider enables us to reach and offer our services to various communities, including:
- Young people from 3yo – 16yo and adults.
- BME.
- Tailored support for SEND & marginalised groups.
- Low income families.
- People suffering with mental health or a disability.
Oldbury United FC utilise sport and education to build professionalism, confidence and self-esteem by providing, inclusive sporting, mentoring, and development programs spanning early years to adult fitness, engaging diverse cultural, economic, and ability-based communities across Oldbury, Sandwell, and Dudley. Our aims are:
- To improve physical and mental wellbeing.
- To Enhance social networks.
- To Improve employment opportunities.
- To reduce the possibility of young people and adults becoming involved in crime.
