Oldbury United FC First Team
Oldbury United FC was originally founded in 1958 as Queens Colts, competing in the Oldbury League. After winning the league in 1962, the club was renamed Whiteheath United and joined the Warwickshire & West Midlands Alliance. In 1966, a merger with Oldbury Town led to the birth of the club as it is known today Oldbury United FC.
In 1973, the club moved into its new home at the York Road Sports and Social Club (B65 0RR), where it remained until 2008, when legal disputes forced the team to leave. The club subsequently folded in May 2009.
However, true to its resilient spirit, The Blues were reformed in 2017 and now compete in the Premier Division of the West Midlands (Regional) League. In a proud nod to its heritage, Oldbury United FC has returned to its historic home ground at York Road, once again playing where generations of supporters built lasting memories. For the 2025/26 season, The Blues will step out at York Road for the first time in 17 years.
Last season, Oldbury United FC celebrated promotion to the Premier Division and a strong run to the League Cup final, a testament to the club’s determination to bring past glories into a bright new future.
